Today’s match is filled with a lot of intensity as Matthew Kaufmann, fighting out of The Streets takes on Tackle Jiujitsu’s Tyler Wittreich. Wittreich walks into the match with 4 previous points from his decision victory, Kaufmann without league points at the time of this contest.
The match would start off looking like a wrestling match, as both these men are wrestlers by way of their background, Matthew still being a current wrestler in college, and Tyler having wrestled through highschool.

After a wonderful display of his balance, hopping around for a solid minute, Wittreich is dragged down and forced to play some guard, which he proceeds to do quite effectively against the young wrestler.
Very soon indeed, Tyler would find himself back on the attack as he fights to front headlock position, where we would see him go for the first of several guillotine various throughout the matchup.

Kaufmann would posture up and fight out of the first choke with relative ease, but seamlessly Wittreich would transition elsewhere and continue the attack, at one point giving a serious look to an armbar.
Indeed, Tyler’s transitions in this match were truly of quality form, giving him the dominant position for the lion’s share of the match, however Matthew’s heart and determination as a competitor were abundantly evident in his repeated defense against Tyler’s submission game.

In the final moments of the match, we would see Kaufmann capitalize off of an awkward scramble, finding himself not just in mount, but with a guillotine of his own! However, Wittreich manages to fight out of it, and the match goes to decision. All three judges would score the outcome in the favor of Tyler Wittreich.

Yet another exciting match out of the TGGL, and from the looks of it we’ve got more good ones on the way! Let me know what you thought about THIS match down below in the comments! And, as always, thank you for grappling!
