Today out of the TGGL we’re taking a look at Evan Graham from Tackle Jiujitsu going against Epifanio Peterson out of Academy 440. Graham without any league points, as this is his TGGL debut, however Peterson with 12 points from his previous submission against some washed up hipster.
Though there was a scramble at hand when it occurred, I would still credit Epifanio as being the one who pulled guard, as opposed to any sort of actual footsweep or other takedown on Graham’s behalf. Epifanio pulls to butterfly, and Evan starts to attack.

Almost immediately Epi would find himself hugged up against Evan Graham’s calf, looking to sink back into a straight ankle, but Evan would remain composed and go to work defending, looking to shift the tide.
Looking to pass, Graham would find his ankle “snatched up” yet again, but again he defends well, looking to turn adversity into a little bit of aggression.

Turning the tables, if only for a moment on Epifanio Peterson, Graham proceeds to invert, shooting his hips into Peterson while trying to dig out a leg, but his efforts would find themselves well defended.
Standing intermittently, these two would spend most of the match just digging at one another’s legs, and then defending respectively in expert fashion!

Finally, fate was in Evan’s corner, as he sends a straight ankle and it was well bitten, as Peterson gives the tap a moment later. Graham takes the points and the victory.

Another great match out of the TGGL! The boys from Middleburg Heights have really been on a roll with great matchups lately! Let me know your thoughts down below in the comments! And, as always, thank you for grappling!
