In the weeks leading up to the inaugural season of TGGL, Tackle Jiujitsu has offered up a desirable selection of exhibition matches to act as precursor to the following league matches. In this match we have Connor(from Parts Unknown) vs Luke B. of Tackle affiliation.
Connor vs Luke started out similarly to previous carjitsu matches, vying for a strong topside presence early on, Luke using his strong grips to gain leverage early on. The match quickly escalated beyond traditional topside control to a battle to the top of the Durango, as Luke B. disengages in pursuit of the higher ground.
After several hard-fought skirmishes on the side of the vehicle, Luke B. manages to break free and reach the top of the Dodge, giving himself crucial moments to reevaluate the situation before reengaging, now on the opposite side of the car.
Though he was almost hurled from the vehicle during his numerous attempts to reenter the vehicle, Luke B. manages to get seated and reengage the match, eventually winning via seated guillotine in the passenger side backseat.
Do you think your grips could have bested those of Luke B? Would you play a similar tactic, or perhaps something more traditional? Tell us about it in the comments down below! And, as always, thank you for grappling.
