Shoulder Pressure For The Win!: Mason Stanley Vs Tallon Pollard In The TGGL

Taking a look today at Mason Stanley of Levitate BJJ going up against Wolverine Style MMA’s Tallon Pollard. Mason steps into this league match with 8 previous points from his victories, and Tallon is still without league points.

The match starts off with Tallon sort of squatting down, perhaps in an attempt to lower his base(?), but Mason immediately matches his level and handily pushes him down the rest of the way via ankle pick.

Mason would show a lot of good pressure the whole match, turning this half(quarter?) guard into side control with ease, where the match would stay for most of the competition.

From top side, we’d see Mason keep solid pressure down on Pollard, occasionally looking to control the head, and work a choke.

Mason would send a baseball choke that looked pretty tight, but Pollard keeps his composure and rolls over and out of the choke.

Pollard would answer with a choke attempt of his own, but it was not very effective, and Stanley appears unphased by the affair.

Pollard also found himself on a leg a short time later, but Stanley bases down hard and was wholly unmoved by the attempt and in the end, the match would go it’s distance without a finished submission attempt. All three judges would score the match in the favor of Mason Stanley.

I love it when a match goes the full distance! (not really, but I’m working on being more positive lately) Anyways, how did you score the match? Do you agree with the judges? Let me know about it down below in the comments! And, as always, thank you for grappling!
