Starting off week two in the middleweight division, we have Full Circle’s Zachary Beeman facing off against Abdul Anous out of Tackle Jiujitsu. Before this match is underway, we have Beeman entering the match with a dominating 48 league points, but Anous not without points of his own, holding 12 at the moment.
Right away we see Beeman pulling guard, confident in his abilities to effectively transition from guard to sub. Which he does, scooting in for an almost instantaneous leg entry, but Anous does well to counter, gaining head control to halt the entrance.

After wrestling up, Zeeman finds head control of his own, locking in what appears to be a pretty tight arm-in guillotine.
Despite fighting out of Beeman’s guillotine, Anous find himself under duress yet again, as Beeman transitions to an armbar, and gets the tap and the points.

The next match of the evening would pit Zach Beeman out of Full Circle BJJ go up against Chance Fritz, a fill-in opponent to the league, fighting out of Levitate Jiujitsu. Beeman entering the match with a cool 60 points, Fritz without any points (as he is a stand-in).
Similar to his match with Abdul, we see Beeman content to sit to guard, or in this case rock back to guard, as Fritz begins his campaign against Beeman.

Quickly and to the point, Beeman gets on Fritz’s leg and sinks a heelhook for the points and yet another TGGL league victory. Beeman is truly on fire in this middleweight division.

The next match of the evening would put South Prospect’s Time Lange up against Chance Fritz from Levitate Jiujitsu. Both men entering the match with zero league points as of present.

Tim, perhaps looking to replicate some of Beeman’s success opts to pull guard, choosing to make Fritz engage his guard.
An unsuccessful armbar/omaplata/triangle series will find Tim Lange on top position in a sort of modified front headlock.

Another unsuccessful triangle/armbar series would this time find Lange in a less dominant position, Fritz managing to battle his way to top side control, Chance also controlling Lange’s head.
The match sort of stalemates in side control, straying to north south a few times, before once again returning to side control, as both men look for subs, Lange even throwing up a buggy choke at one point.

After Lange opts to turtle, we see Chance attempt a back take and hopefully a subsequent submission attempt. The back however does not come.
What comes instead is a deep, belly down armbar entry, pinning Lange to the mat, but Lange defends spectacularly, rolling out, and managing to take top half guard, briefly threatening a leg entry from there.
In the end, the match would see the full length of the six minute round and would come down to referee decision, declaring Chance Fritz as winner.

The next match would pit two of Tackle’s finest against each other, and that would be Abdul Anous vs Jack Baeppler. Jack holding 20 league points, and Abdul with 12 of his own.
Right away we see Baeppler go for a snapdown, or in this case more of a drag-down as he pulls Anous into the front headlock position, looking to maybe isolate an arm so as to set up either an anaconda or d’arce entry.

Baeppler wouldn’t get any submissions off of his initial snapdown of Anous, but would however first threaten the back take, and then eventually transition to side control, and begin to threaten a kimura/americana series.
After not having any luck from top side control, we see Baeppler hoist Anous up off the mat before slamming him down for the takedown, proceeding to follow him down back to top position.

The two men would find themselves in a side control base game of cat and mouse as Baeppler tries various chokes and entries, and Anous faces each with a smile, defending smartly.
Jack would eventually find himself in full mount, and fighting to isolate one of Abdul’s arms.
The match would end up going the length of the round, and would be a great exhibition of some back and forth jiujitsu, but in the end it would be his slam, and overall positional dominance that would see Jack Baeppler declared the winner of the contest.

The next match of the evening places Time Lange of South Prospect Gym up against Jack Baeppler of Tackle Jiujitsu.
Jack walks into this match with now 24 TGGL league points, Tim Lange still looking to score a few.
The action in this match kicks off right away with Baeppler shooting in on Lange for a single leg, which he eventually uses to drag Lange down to the mats with, but Lange defends well, beginning to build his guard immediately.

Baeppler would pressure his way into the top side control of Tim Lange, where Lange would attempt another buggy choke, but Jack does well top posture up and out of the immediate threat.
Lange would end up threatening the buggy choke several time in the exchange, but each time Baeppler does well to adjust his posture and escape danger, eventually using pressure to force Lange’s forearm to the mat, looking to set up an americana.

Late in the round, we would see Baeppler go for a last minute back take on Lange, which would see him sink in a rear naked choke, and get the points and the victory against Tim Lange.
