High-stakes diplomacy took an unexpected turn into the squared circle when eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao held a hands-on training and mitt-work session with Polish President Karol Nawrocki at the Elorde Boxing Gym in Metro Manila.
Nawrocki, who made history as the first Polish head of state to pay an official visit to the Philippines, took a brief detour from formal bilateral meetings to exchange leather drills with the Filipino legend.

The workout was far more than a typical photo op. Footage shared by Pacquiao showed the two stepping through rapid focus-pad sequences, defensive slip drills, and light sparring in the ring.
Nawrocki, a former competitive amateur boxer in his youth who won national-level prizes in Poland, turned heads with his technical foundation. Despite stepping onto the canvas wearing formal dress trousers and leather dress shoes, the Polish president showed a natural stance, tight guard, and sharp punch mechanics that drew approval from onlookers and ringside observers alike.
Pacquiao put Nawrocki through his paces, guiding him through rapid-fire combinations with the trademark speed and rhythm that defined his hall-of-fame career.
