ONE Championship is back at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on Friday, May 15, 2026, with ONE Friday Fights 154 & The Inner Circle, which is a very modern combat sports sentence that basically means: yes, there are fights, yes, they are happening at an extremely inconvenient hour for Americans, and yes, some of them live behind a subscription because apparently suffering is part of the martial arts journey.
The event is scheduled for 4:30 AM Pacific / 7:30 AM Eastern, because nothing says “elite heavyweight MMA title fight” quite like watching two refrigerator-shaped men try to remove each other from consciousness while you’re still deciding whether to make coffee or simply become coffee.
The Inner Circle portion of the card is headlined by a genuinely fascinating heavyweight rematch: Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane vs. Anatoly Malykhin for the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Championship.
And yes, that sentence still feels strange. Reug Reug, the Senegalese wrestling powerhouse, shocked the world by beating Malykhin the first time around, handing the once-untouchable Russian wrecking machine his first professional MMA loss. Malykhin, previously known for smashing people across multiple weight classes with the emotional subtlety of a forklift, now returns looking to reclaim the heavyweight belt and restore the natural order of ONE’s big-man violence ecosystem.
In other words: the rematch actually matters.
The Inner Circle Card So Far
The announced Inner Circle lineup currently includes:
Oumar Kane vs. Anatoly Malykhin
ONE Heavyweight MMA World Championship
Kade Ruotolo vs. Hiroyuki Tetsuka
Lightweight MMA
Superlek vs. Abdulla Dayakaev
Bantamweight Muay Thai
More fights are expected to be announced, because ONE cards are legally required to feel like someone shook a bag full of elite strikers, grapplers, regional nightmares, and future champions onto a spreadsheet.
Kade Ruotolo Continues His MMA Side Quest
For grappling fans, the biggest name here may be Kade Ruotolo, who continues his transition into MMA against Hiroyuki Tetsuka.
Ruotolo has already spent the last several years making world-class grappling look like a children’s problem-solving exercise, but MMA is different. In grappling, if you make a mistake, someone passes your guard. In MMA, if you make a mistake, someone punches you in the face and then your coach explains afterward that it was “a learning experience.”
That is what makes Ruotolo’s MMA run interesting. He is not just another jiu-jitsu guy “testing himself.” He is one of the best submission grapplers on the planet trying to see how much of his game survives when the other guy is allowed to hit him in the skull. So far, that experiment has been compelling, and Tetsuka should be a serious enough test to make this feel like more than a showcase.
Superlek Is Also Here, Because Of Course He Is
The card also features Superlek against Abdulla Dayakaev in bantamweight Muay Thai.
Superlek appearing on a card is one of those things that immediately raises the violence index. He is technically brilliant, mean in the way only elite Muay Thai fighters can be mean, and generally makes opponents look like they accidentally walked into an advanced seminar on pain geometry.
Dayakaev gets the opportunity, which is very exciting for him in the way that being handed a sword and told to fight a lawn mower is technically an opportunity.
So What Is ONE’s Inner Circle?
The Inner Circle appears to be ONE Championship’s premium streaming lane for select exclusive fights, live and on-demand, through ONE’s live platform. The monthly price is listed at $9.99/month plus applicable taxes, which in combat sports terms is somewhere between “not bad” and “why is every promotion slowly rebuilding cable TV but with worse passwords?”
The concept is simple enough: ONE gives hardcore fans access to extra fights and special content, while fans get to decide how many separate services they are willing to subscribe to before they begin questioning every decision that led them here.
Still, this particular lineup is not filler. A heavyweight title rematch, Kade Ruotolo in MMA, and Superlek in Muay Thai is a legitimately strong offering. If this is the kind of card ONE plans to attach to Inner Circle events, the subscription might actually have some teeth.

Why This “One” Matters
The heavyweight rematch is the obvious centerpiece. Malykhin was once one of ONE’s most dominant forces, and Reug Reug disrupting that run gave the division a real storyline. Now we get to see whether Kane’s first win was the start of a new heavyweight era or the kind of nightmare result Malykhin spends the rest of his career trying to erase.
Add Ruotolo’s ongoing MMA development and Superlek doing Superlek things, and the May 15 Inner Circle card becomes more than just another Friday morning fight block from Bangkok.
It is weird. It is early. It is paywalled. It is also probably worth watching.
