The premier stage in submission grappling lands in Northeast Ohio tonight as Fight 2 Win 326 takes over Independence. Known for bringing stadium-style light shows, custom walkout tracks, and high-stakes superfights to cities across the country, Fight 2 Win (F2W) brings together the region’s top academy talent and elite black belts for a full card of gi and no-gi action.
Event Overview
Fight 2 Win offers a unique setup in modern submission fighting, replacing traditional tournament mats with an elevated stage, full production lighting, and individual superfight bookings. Tonight’s card features local academy head coaches, rising prospects, and seasoned black belt competitors squaring off in custom 1-on-1 matchups. With teams from across Ohio and the Midwest more generally, bringing their loudest supporters to the venue, the atmosphere resembles a high-energy combat sports gala rather than a standard weekend tournament.
F2W Ruleset & Scoring Explained
Fight 2 Win’s ruleset is specifically designed to eliminate stalling and encourage non-stop offense. Here is how the action is governed on stage
- Match Duration: Matches run 8 to 10 minutes in length, depending on belt rank and division.
- No In-Match Points: Traditional IBJJF point systems (pass, mount, back take, sweep) are discarded during regulation play.
- Victory Via Submission: Tapping out the opponent results in an immediate victory.
- Judges’ Decision: If no submission occurs before time expires, the match goes to three ringside judges.
- Scoring Criteria: Judges evaluate matches purely on submission attacks and aggressive offense. Holding dominant positions or stalling without attempting a finish will not earn a decision, the competitor who actively hunted the tap and pushed the action wins the nod.
