Nothing left to referee decision tonight as these lightweight competitors faced off in more week 1 action in the TGGL, the Tackle and Grapple Grappling League. All three matches in tonight’s series went rocket fast, as we saw some spectacular grappling and beautiful submissions, so let’s get into our recap!

First match of the evening pitted Tj Stuber of Control Martial Arts vs Tackle Jiujitsu’s Bobby Berry. Both of which entering the match with no league points.
This match would prove to be the fastest submission of the evening, and perhaps of the TGGL to date. While both fighters started standing, Berry looking for a collar-tie, Stuber Imanari-rolls into an immediate leg entry.

Once on Berry’s leg, Stuber makes quick work of the situation and finishes the match via calf-slicer.

The next match of the evening would see Mason Stanley of Levitate Jiujitsu face off against Tj Stuber of Control Martial Arts.

It is Stuber that strikes first in this match, feinting a trip, then entering the legs into saddle.

Stanley, thought not the victim, pressures up and enters into Stuber’s guard. However after a few exchanges, the two wrestle back up to their feet.

It is Mason Stanley this time who enters for a takedown, and we see him finish it, taking Tj Stuber to the ground. Stuber, quick to react, turtles, which will prove to be his downfall.
Fresh off the takedown, Stanley Mason seats a choke deep into the neck of Tj Stuber, taking the points and the victory.

The third and final match of the evening would pit Bobby Berry vs Mason Stanley. Stanley now with a 12 point league advantage over Tackle’s Bobby Berry.
This match would see some good wrestling back and forth, both men seeking head control pretty early on, with Berry attempting to snatch a guillotine within the first few moments of action!

Mason Stanley would end up getting the takedown first, entering first into Bobby Berry’s guard, and then proceeding to side control.
In an attempt to get back to his feet, Berry chooses to turtle, entering himself into the exact same situation that ended the match for Tj Stuber, a match earlier.

Mason Stanley secures the choke, the victory, and the points in extremely photogenic style.

We at ProGrappler think that this was one hell of a night of submission grappling, but what do you think? Are you keen on any rematches, or upcoming fights for these, or other Tackle-Grapple league members? Let us know down in the comments! And, as always, thank you for grappling!
