In a matchup that I was personally very excited for, today out of the TGGL grappling league, we have Stout PGH’s James Neeley facing off against Full Circle BJJ’s Zach Beeman. Beeman has seen almost unmatched success in the TGGL’s Middleweight Division and already has 12 points from a previous submission win this season. James Neeley on the other hand is presently without points, but has made quite a big splash in the TGGL after his match with Anthony McKinney.
Right out of the gate, Neeley scores a cheeky little footsweep on Beeman, a feat that not many in the TGGL have accomplished, but Beeman recovers quickly and nothing is gained from the maneuver.

Hot off the takedown and back on his feet, Beeman slaps a sort of snapdown-guillotine on Neeley and proceeds to hoist him into the air. Neeley does well to defend the choke by framing on the hips of Beeman, and Beeman lets off the choke, not looking to waste a moment.
After Beeman’s guillotine attempt, the two would face off standing, both men looking to size the other up a little bit before the next attack.

Beeman would attempt a flying armbar, or perhaps a triangle, but Neeley was having none of it, pushing Beeman away and to the ground.
Neeley would look to engage from there, attempting to pass as opposed to looking for a leg entry as he did in his previous match against McKinney.

Beeman would capitalized from Neeley’s arm post, turning it into an armbar, and locking down on it pretty tightly. Beeman would receieve the tap shortly thereafter, getting the points and the victory.

Can anyone stop the Beeman? Statistically, probably but so far no one has. Let me know what you think about this match, and give me your predictions; Will anyone best the Beeman in the TGGL middleweight division? And, as always, thank your for grappling!
