Today we are taking a look at True Art’s Roy Ware facing off against Chance Fritz, fighting out of Levitate Jiujitsu. Roy enters the match without any current league points, whereas Chance has 4 points from a previous decision victory.
The match would begin with Chance shooting in for a shot that would be stuffed by Ware, then snapped down into a front headlock/head and arm sort of position.
Roy would begin working around the side of Fritz, looking for maybe a back-take here, or perhaps some attacks from top turtle.
However that back-take did not come out of the initial series for Roy Ware, he would instead find himself turtling out of defense of now Chance’s attack.
Roy would at one point drop back and invert on the legs of Chance Fritz, looking for perhaps a heelhook, but the threat was not long lived and Fritz rolls out to safety.
The pace of the match would largely be back and forth with one man advancing position seemingly every time the other would try to attack a submission.
The tide would abruptly shift when Fritz would seize his opportunity as Roy Ware posts an arm on the mat. Chance would snatch up the armbar for the points and the victory.
What a great back-and-forth sort of match! Let me know what you thought of the match in the comments down below! And, as always, thank you for grappling!
