Today’s matchup would pit Christian Perez of Strongstyle MMA up against Zach Beeman of Full Circle BJJ. Both men enter the match without any league points as of yet.
The match would begin with Beeman taking Perez to the mat with a sort of knee tap, which Perez graciously accepts, preferring to regain a solid open guard as opposed to trying to stay on his feet.
Beeman would enter Perez’s guard and proceed to immediately sit back, looking for a foot/leg, but Perez was having none of it and defended the entrance well, rolling out of harm’s way.
Perez preferring to engage from a closed guard this match up, looking to perhaps mount an attack of his own. Beeman seeing this (perhaps) giving him motive to repeatedly attack his feet.
Then, in a flash Perez went for a kimura grip to which Beeman responded with an armbar of his own, securing the tap, points, and the victory in this TGGL matchup.
And just like that, the reign of Zachary Beeman in the middleweight division of the TGGL reigns on. Who will be the first to defeat Zach Beeman in TGGL league play? Let me know your thoughts down below in the comments! And, as always, thank you for tackling.
