And the matches march on as we enter part 4 of Prograppler’s exclusive coverage of the TGGL’s Cleveland Carjitsu Tournament Of Kings! Already we’ve seen some great matches and have had some shocking outcomes, I can only imagine what type of emotionally charged content we’re in for as we enter the 4th of 5 installments in this beautiful performance art we lovingly call Carjitsu!

Starting things out with a consolation match between One Up’s Lance Grifo, and Tackle Jiujitsu’s own Luke Baeppler. Both of these men were eliminated in the first round, but we at Prograppler were so moved by their passion for the sport that we personally petitioned the TGGL to grant them an additional chance at redemption, something we at Prograppler feel very strongly about.
Luke would escape his restraints ahead of Lance, and secures a firm hold on the belt of Grifo, locking him in his seat as Baeppler maneuvers for position. Right away Lance is in danger of being choked by the seatbelt, but he remains calm and does well to keep his frames, keeping Luke at bay. However Baeppler presses in, and simultaneously opens the passenger door, unceremoniously propelling Lance out of the door and onto the ground.
Next up we have Tackle Jiujitsu’s Stefan Kloss going up against James Neeley fighting out of Stout PGH in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Both man had success in the previous round, but their lust for Sheetz giftcards is surely insatiable.

Both men escape the clutches of their respective seatbelts at approximately the same time. Stefan, perhaps looking to recreate his last result moves to the center console, however in a move of overcommitment, he exposes his back to Neeley, who would look to capitalize immediately. James would apprehend the passenger-side seatbelt and begin trying to affix it around the neck of Stefan, however Stefan defends well, controlling one or both of Neeley’s wrists, making his task of strangulation and bridge too far, for now. Stefan would manage to open the backseat door, looking to expel Neeley off of him, but Neeley remained stuck atop Kloss and eventually the seatbelt would find it’s way home, securing the tap, the win, and most importantly, the $5 Sheetz giftcard.

The next match would be a big one, as we have two of the toughest Tacklers in the tournament, Sean Soeder facing off against Kyle Vlcek. Both of these gladiators are renown for their love of Sheetz, and surely another $5 is more than ample incentive for an emotionally charged match up.
After a brief fumbling with their belts, I believe due in part to a lack-lusted countdown, Soeder would be the first man out of his seatbelt, and he would begin to mount his attack. Sean quickly moves the seatbelt into position to attack Kyle, looking to make quick work of the match, however his plans stall as the belt becomes wrapped over the bulging shoulder of Kyle Vlcek. Abandoning the frontseat belt, Soeder then turns his attention to the backseat, grabbing a second seatbelt, and proceeding to use it less like a lasso, and much more for extra grip as he proceeds to throttle his opponent. Despite Soeder’s efforts to unalive the larger man with a seatbelt, Kyle would defend well repeatedly slipping the belt back off on his neck. Eventually Vlcek would manage to free his legs from being trapped between the rows, moving the whole of his body into the back seat, where he would manage to expel Soeder from the vehicle for the victory.
Fresh on the heels of his victory against Sean Soeder, Kyle would be facing Luke Baeppler, himself still flying high off of his redemptive victory against Lance Grifo. Both men are clearly insatiable for the allure of a $5 Sheetz giftcard (provided lovingly by Prograppler.com)

Neither man would be the true victor out of the belt this time, as they both opt for a slightly different approach, instead opting to hold on to their opponents’ instead. This strategy appears to work better for Kyle, as he begins to mount Luke, who must then relinquish his remaining control over Vlcek’s belt. Luke would maintain good posture however, and escapes Kyle’s attack into the backseat of the Durango. However, unperturbed Kyle marches on, pressuring Luke towards the third row of seating. Now straddling the backseat as if he were riding a horse, Luke Baeppler would attempt the gargantuan task of trying to expel Vlcek out of the driver-side of the vehicle, however Kyle bases down hard, making the task seem impossible, but Baeppler endures, even standing on his larger opponent at one point before proceeding to climb him like a ladder to escape to the roof of the SUV. However it would be that escape that would prove to be Luke’s undoing, as he found himself trapped on the roof, with Vlcek guarding all points of reentry into the vehicle. Kyle would eventually catch Luke reentering and jostle him off mark, and out of the car to secure the victory.
As we near the end of the Carjitsu Kings Tournament, two men stand tall; James Neeley, the handsome stranger from Stout PGH and Kyle Vlcek, Tackles unstoppable smashing machine. Who will reign supreme in this mid-90’s death machine? Stay tuned to find out! And, as always, thank you for grappling!
