Too Much T Coming Out Of The TGGL’s Lightweight Division: Tyler Wittreich vs Tallon Pollard

Taking a look today at a matchup out of Tackle Jiujitsu’s TGGL Lightweight Division, as Tyler Wittreich faces off against Tallon Pollard of Wolverine Style MMA. Tyler enters the contest with 12 league points from previous matches, whereas Tallon is presently without points.

Wittreich would strike first, taking Pollard handily to the mat. When the dust settled, we would find Pollard in bottom side, and Tyler with knee-on-belly, where Tyler would move to press the attack.

Tyler would look to flatten Tallon out early on, but Pollard would respond by rolling to turtle in defense of such maneuvers.

From turtle, Tyler immediately attacks the head of Tallon, looking for a sort of rolling guillotine choke. Pollard would land on bottom, however manages to position himself out of the choke, where he would hold on to a sort of choke grip of his own.

The two would pull out of that engagement, and briefly attack some leg entanglements, however to no-one’s benefit, and Wittreich begins once again to hunt for better position.

Wittreich finds himself on the top side of a cradle, I believe off of an unsuccessful backtake. From cradle he manages to get enough torsion and control over Tallon that Pollard concedes the tap. Wittreich would take the points and the victory.

I’m not wholly sure what happened there at the end? Do you think Tallon Pollard tapped to pressure, or was he just stretched out enough to give the tap from pain? Let me know what you think down below in the comments! And, as always, thank you for grappling!
