More lightweight action kicks off in Cleveland, Ohio this week as league play of the inaugural TGGL season gets underway! In this series of matches we have Tyler Whittreich(Tackle), Bill Lee (Levitate), Marty Rehor(Tackle), and Luke Baeppler(Tackle) all vying for some league points! Let’s see who take’s home the points!

First up, we had Lee vs Whittreich. The match starts off with Lee pulling guard as Whittreich begins to engage.
The two stalemate briefly as Whittreich tries several passes, only for a short time later for Whittreich to snatch up Lee in a d’arce, however Lee manages to roll into turtle escaping the d’arce, but not the choke of Whittreich, who secures the victory and the points with an armbar from top turtle.

Next up on the TGGL docket was another match for Tackle’s Tyler Wittreich, this time vs Luke Baeppler(also Tackle).
After tying up, and a brief exchange, Tyler secures the takedown and Luke begins to engage in guard play, trying to enter Whittreich’s legs.

After a failed shot, Whittreich would find himself in bottom half, only to end up sweeping Baeppler into a sidecontrol of his own, and thereafter securing the win via armbar.

Next up we would see the matchup of Marty Rehor vs Luke Baeppler, both fighting out of Tackle Jiujitsu of Middleburgh Heights, Ohio.

In this match, both fighters chose to stay standing, attempting to make this match a matter of wrestling, as opposed to leg entanglements and guard play.
Eventually, we would see Rehor secure the takedown, with Baeppler regaining his guard and attempting to enter some submissions.

After choosing to stand the match back up, we would see Rehor shoot in for a takedown, only to be reversed by Baeppler, and placed into bottom. Baeppler immediately attempts an anaconda choke, however Marty is able to fight out, and make his way back to topside control.
After a failed triangle attempt by Rehor, we see Baeppler regain his guard and proceed to lock up a tight guillotine on his opponent, securing the win and his points!

The final match of the evening was Bill Lee vs Marty Rehor. Lee pulling guard right away, whereas Rehor preferring to engage from standing.
Several level changes and feints later, we see Rehor secure the pass via knee-cut into side control. Marty does an excellent job of maintaining sidecontrol until eventually Lee frees himself, and escapes into turtle.

After a solid back and forth, shuffling between turtle and sidecontrol, Rehor decides to disengage and stand back up, taking his end of the fight back to his feet, before shooting another knee-cut and passing into sidecontrol once again.
The match would end up going the full length of the 6 minute round without submission, ending in a referee decision in favor of Marty Rehor.
